Tee Party

So It's been a long time since I last posted on here but I've been working lots of extra hours at work so haven't found the time to be creative! (sad face)

Ohh Deer are running another design competition, this time it's t-shirt design and all you have to do is produce something that you would like to wear this summer, simple! The 3 winners will have their work produced as male and female tees and they will be sold in Ohh Deer's stockists and online store. 

Here are the 2 designs that I have entered into the competition. They are both based on photographs I took in New York a few years back, hope you like them!

Reetsweet Easter Fair

Yesterday it was Reetsweet's Easter Fair at the Corn Exchange, Leeds, which is an amazing venue & it was pretty busy too! I had a really great time meeting all of the lovely people involved! 

I shared the stall with a very good friend of mine Sarah -below are just a few snaps of mine & Sarah's stall all set up yesterday morning.

REETSWEET

Don't forget it's Reetsweet's Easter Fair in Leeds this weekend! We will be at the Corn Exchange from 10am until 5pm... If your around come and say hi! There will be plenty of lovely things to see :)

Mug designs

As the Reetsweet craft fair is coming up next month, I have been working on some designs more suitable for mugs. These little characters are keeping me entertained!

Notebooks

Ohh Deer's new notebook collection is unleashed! I received some samples of my winning 'Stuck on Repeat' design a few days ago and they look awesome! There are 3 sizes available (A4/A5/A6) The notebooks are perfectly bound and are brilliant quality. 

Craft Fairs

I've been working on some new designs lately for the upcoming Leeds College of Art pop-up shop which runs from Tuesday 6th of March until Thursday the 8th, as well as the Reetsweet Craft Event which takes place on Saturday April 7th in the Corn Exchange, Leeds.

'Art Source'

This month I was featured in the 'art source' section of the Progressive Greetings magazine. 'Art Source' is a part of Progressive Greetings that aims to paint a pretty picture of freelance artists, designers and photographers etc in order to help the artist to promote their talents to publishers as well as making it easier for publishers seeking artists.

I received my copy in the post yesterday so I thought I'd share a few images!

Hello! Just though I'd share a few things I've been working on today :) I have been working quite a lot recently so I haven't been able to do as much designing as I'd like.. but I had a whole day off today which is always good! 

As I am taking part in the upcoming Leeds College of Art Pop-Up Shop and the Reetsweet Craft Event in the Corn Exchange- I've been concentrating on new collections intended for notebooks, greetings cards and prints.

exciting news

I was very excited this morning to find out that one of my designs was a winner in the recent Ohh Dear 'stuck on repeat' competition :D

The winning designs will now be made into notebooks and stocked in the Ohh Dear online store!

Wall Art & Greeting Card Designs

Hello! Just thought I'd share a few designs that I've been working on the last few days! ...All the images were originally drawn in Illustrator & then coloured in Photoshop.

what is love?

Helloo!! Just thought I'd post a few pictures of some new designs I've been working on for the latest Tigerprint competition... 'what is love?' 

All the type has been hand drawn before they are coloured in Photoshop.

I have kept the colours to a minimum as to keep the focus on the type and illustrative drawing style.

Sarah Foster

Hello,

Last night I met up with my college friend Sarah for a much needed catch up! As our birthdays are pretty close together we arranged to go for tea at TGI Fridays and exchange gifts. I had a lovely time and we laughed a lot which is always good! :)

Anyway Sarah owns a very beautiful gift shop situated in the quaint village of Marsden (Huddersfield)

Headingley Arts Trail - 2011

I displayed four of my handmade collage pieces at the trail... and they even got a little mention on BBC Radio Leeds! :)
